I have been buying bits from Vinted for a couple of years on and off but the other day I was looking at a bag. A lovely 1970s, black leather, hand made in Tunisia shoulder bag. It has an amazing sunburst effect made by twisting and folding the leather. I absolutely loved it, it is right up my alley but, I have loads of bags. I mean, loads of bags. I couldn’t really justify buying another one when I have so many unused ones in a box (a bag box, as you do). Which is when I thought I could just sell the unused ones, and maybe some bits of unused clothing (kept in a clothes box obviously) to make space for the new stuff I’d just got.

A black leather shoulder bag is hanging on the shoulder of a white mannequin. The bag has a sunburst on the front crafted from leather and in the middle of the sunburst is an embossed crest featuring a camel in a wreath with the word Tunis under it.

The bag in question.

Now, I am not one for having shopping apps on my phone but getting photos from my phone to my PC is a massive pain in the arse as I have to copy them from the phone to a tablet, then on to a flash drive and then on to the PC because phone and PC just do not want to play together. So I got the Vinted app then I could just take the photos and upload them straight to Vinted. Easy peasy.

First stop was the bag box, I got out the bags I wasn’t using, and probably was never going to to be honest. I don’t know why but unless something is faulty I cannot bring myself to return it so I end up with stuff that I’m realistically never going to wear/use. The bags were all Killstar and in perfect condition, original dust protector bags, all of that stuff. I also had a bunch of Killstar tees that I wasn’t wearing. I think I’m just not a Killstar kind of goth, which I’m okay with. I got the stuff photographed as best as I can and wrote out descriptions and got them uploaded. I had other bits too not just Killstar. I got, maybe half a dozen bits up on the first day, then a few more the next day. The bags all went in no time, some tees and other band tees went. I was frantically trying to find boxes for these bags and bags to put the tees in.

I have been out four days in a row just shoving parcels into lockers. Genuinely cannot believe how full-on it suddenly got. I uploaded a bowl with a witch on and it was sold within five minutes! I have a box of other stuff to go up and probably more stuff stashed that I can sell but I’m taking the weekend off because bloody hell! I was not expecting the amount of notifications and emails you get. I just wanted a little declutter and have ended up with a full-time job!

Oh and here’s my Vinted page if you’re interested :) There’s not much left at the moment but I’ll be adding more next week.
